  • NZI is delighted to be named ‘Insurer of the Year’ in the 2016 Kantar TNS Industry Survey.

    The annual survey, run by NZI, QBE and Vero, is aimed at seeking broker feedback on the New Zealand insurance industry.


    “As insurers, it’s important that we keep pace with the needs of our brokers, and continually gauge how well we’re meeting their needs. Brokers are the cornerstone of our business and the fact that they’ve placed NZI ahead of our competitors is valuable recognition,” he says.


    2016 Kantar TNS Industry Survey


    The survey highlighted a number of high priority industry challenges for insurers: differentiating your offering in an increasingly competitive and price sensitive market; keeping up to date with the changing environment; increasing legislative changes; using technology to enhance customer experience; investing in and retaining skilled people; and keeping up with technological change.


    NZI was also more strongly recognised for supporting the community, providing comprehensive solutions and superior service, and building strong partnerships. NZI has a number of long standing community partnerships and key sponsorships including First Foundation Scholarships, the Christchurch Art Gallery and the Sustainable Business Network.


    The research was undertaken as a syndicated study with involvement from the three major insurers and carried out by independent research agency TNS.  A total of 746 industry members participated in the survey.
