NZI Trustees Insurance

NZI’s Trustees Liability policy insures trustees for liability and defence costs in respect of wrongful acts committed while performing their duties for the trust. 

The policy includes:

• damages that a civil court orders any trustee to pay, or negotiated settlements, for wrongful acts
• legal costs and expenses of defending claims (including criminal claims)
• advancement of defence costs
• automatic reinstatement of the aggregate limit
• continuous cover
• estate and legal representatives
• innocent non-disclosure
• official investigations
• outside directorships – non profit organisations
• spousal liability

Optional cover is also available for:

• current outside directorships other than non profit organisations
• employment practices liability for claims your staff could take against the company entity (e.g. discrimination, unfair dismissal or workplace harassment)
• fidelity
