At NZI, we see global warming and climate change as a serious business issue, so we're working to reduce our environmental footprint. Over the past three years we (IAG New Zealand Ltd) have reduced the amount of fuel used by our vehicle fleet by 22% and our paper consumption by 16%. Work has begun on NZI's new 5 Green Star rated office building in Auckland, which will be one of New Zealand's most sustainable buildings when it opens in 2009.

If you drive a hybrid or fuel-efficient vehicle and you're an NZI Distinction or Echelon customer, we'll give you a 10% discount on your full comprehensive vehicle premium. A list of fuel-efficient vehicles that apply for the discount is below.
If you drive a hybrid or fuel-efficient vehicle and drive less than 5,000km in a policy year, the maximum discount you will receive is 15%.
