NZI Broker Community Grants
At NZI, we help brokers support their local community to manage and reduce risk. Through the NZI Broker Community Grants scheme, we provide financial assistance to brokers to enhance their contributions to a local organisation or cause. We’ll match brokers’ contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to $1,000.
How does it work?
Contact your broker with your request for funding. They’ll need to endorse your request in order to apply for a NZI Broker Community Grant.
What’s the criteria?
Grant requests must fall into one of the following key areas:
- Crime prevention – helping to reduce crime and provide crime awareness, education and victim support
- Injury prevention – helping to prevent road-related accidents, workplace injuries, or assisting people with disabilities
- Emergency rescue services – providing essential help in unexpected emergencies
- Environment – helping to reduce negative impacts on the environment and increase awareness of climate change
- Other community risk reduction initiatives
Why do NZI provide a Broker Community Grant scheme?
We believe that by working together with brokers we can educate our communities on the importance of reducing risk.
In the insurance industry our primary purpose is to pay all genuine claims and provide insurance to the community at an affordable cost. This is affected by a number of environmental and social factors, ranging from climate change to crime. So we’re acutely aware of the importance of managing business in a sustainable way to ensure we’re here for our communities now and in the future. Our challenge is to balance affordable insurance today with the real cost of insurance over time. This is fundamental for the long term sustainability of our business and the ongoing protection to our communities.
At NZI we help the community manage and reduce risk through our support of organisations that prevent crime and injury, educate customers about reducing risk, provide emergency rescue services and create a more sustainable environment. This in turn assists in creating safer communities, which makes good business sense for us.
